We know, from carbon dating etc that the earliest use of metal Was around 4500 years ago in the British isles.
We understand that the Beaker people could grind down rocks Containing copper ore which they then smelted in very hot fires.
They knew that to increase the temperature they needed to use bellows to Add oxygen to the flames.
They also knew that if they combined tin with copper you get bronze. This is an enormous technological breakthrough.
My question to you is.....
Where did they get this knowledge from? How did they know how to do this?

lol Haynes Manual! My own view on that is that it is entirely possible that trial and error brought about the knowledge as with much 'new' technology, it can be found by accident when someone is trying to achieve something else completely.
Either that or a nalien told 'em! Clever buggers, them naliens!
